this is a very nice tool. it is perfect for methodical blackberry elimination; the curved serrated side cuts both green and dry canes. (I bought it thinking that it was a machete-chopping tool; this is a precision slicer-tearer) when you whittle the plant down to the crown then it cuts the roots with a few slices. (lots better than loppers or weedwhacker and a shovel.
