United StatesI wanted to use this sickle to cut overgrown lawn grass away from a rock wall edge, but the grass was too soft and just bent under the blade and didn’t cut at all. The sickle was not very sharp when it arrived, I needed to sharpen it with a whetstone, and even after I did that, it was only able to cut thick-stalked bushes. This is not a good blade for mowing grass.
United StatesDon't get me wrong, I really like my tools. The actual items are well made and worth it . I would give the tools themselves a 5 star rating. What I didn't like so much is the customer service however. They get a 2. My first order was completely cancelled because one item was backordered. Wasn't notified before hand. Why wouldn't you simply contact me and ask if that was okay or if a substitution or some other option was available before the cancellation? I had to contact Nisaku myself when the order never arrived. When I made a reorder, imagine my surprise when the mail person informed me I owed about $15 in postage! Not sure if I will order again.
